Homemade Raw Dark Chocolate

This is for all those who experience chocolate cravings. With just 3 raw ingredients and setting side all the other harmful ingredients that go into a bar of chocolate, this is a sure shot success in your kitchen.

Let's take a look at a regular bar of chocolate we usually pick up from the supermarket. They all contain milk, sugar, cocoa butter, cocoa mass, vegetable fats, emulsifiers and flavourings. Some of them even contain soy lecithin. I still remember those days, years ago, when i could easily gobble an entire bar of chocolate and still crave for more. The number of root canals I have undergone will prove how much of a sugar junkie I was. Its been 4 years of eating clean food and its been a beautiful journey so far and will remain ahead.

Without dragging much into the harmful effects of these ingredients, let me pen down the simple recipe which takes you only a few minutes to make.

The best part of this recipe is you can vary the ingredients as per your taste and it will still taste awesome.

Ingredients:

4 tbsp raw cacao nibs

7-8 soaked and dehydrated almonds

2 tbsp raisins

Method:

Powder the raw cacao nibs and almonds together till it starts forming lumps.

Lay it on a tray and press it down with a flat surface. Since i made a very small batch, i kept looking for a small mould in my kitchen which i could use. And then, I found the lid of a container and used it as the base and pressed it down with the base of a glass. Later i cut them into slabs and refrigerated them. Bite into it and enjoy the goodness of homemade dark chocolate.
